Sustainable Farming

Food grown in healthy soils with pasture-raised animals is inextricably intertwined with farm animal rights and reducing climate change. To increase food production without chemical (fossil fuel-based)  fertilizers and pesticides, soil health is improved with no-till farming and crop rotation. Chickens, goats, sheep, and cows are rotated as well, eating bugs and fertilizing the soil. These practices help build carbon in the soil. 

 

Healthy soil is currently the only technology that works at scale to draw down carbon from the atmosphere.

 

Locally grown food has little or no transportation, refrigeration, and processing costs, minimizing its carbon footprint. The food tastes better too!
